Bike/Walk Fall River Info & Recruitment Night!

Bike/Walk Fall River is the advocacy group working toward safe, accessible and pleasant biking and walking facilities in the city.

Join us on Monday, May 9th, 4:30-6:30 for a special Info & Recruitment Night!

From 4:30-5:30pm, we will have representatives and resources from local cycling and walking groups, a schedule of upcoming biking and walking events, and some GIVE-AWAYS!

From 5:30-6:30pm, stay for our monthly meeting (scheduled for the 2nd Monday each month, at 5:30pm - in person at Government Center).

Location: the resource sharing, as well as the business meeting will take place outside on the Government Center Plaza alongside 3rd St, weather permitting.     (In the event of rain, the event will take place inside Government Center in the "cafeteria" room beside the lobby, near to the 3rd St. entrance -Follow the signs)

Some issues/projects we are currently working on include: updating our bike route map, shepherding a recent Shared Streets project through the installation phase, supporting the process of extending the Quequechan River Rail Trail and creating other protected shared use paths, beginning discussions with the FR Commission on Disability regarding a potential inventory of city streets for ADA compliance, a fledgling bike donation/repair/donation project, and promoting local walking and cycling events in Fall River by groups such as the Appalachian Mountain Club, the GFR United Way, Bike/Walk FR members, and the SouthCoast Bikeway Alliance, among others.

Please join us May 9th!
