Join the City of Pittsfield, MassDOT, and the Berkshires Bike Path Council on May 7th to celebrate the opening of the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail Extension in Pittsfield. The opening ceremony starts at 10:00am at the Crane Avenue Trail Head.
The event will include an opening ceremony, the unveiling of the first Western Mass Greenway sign, honoring of the bike path founders, info tables, and a raffle.
Attendees are encouraged to join one of three group rides to the event, there is one on-street and two trail ride options. Including a 1-mile family-friendly route from Berkshire Crossing.
Join a Group Ride to the Event
- 8:30 - Critical Mass Ride from Park Square to the event on-road route
- 8:30 - Ride from the Senior Center in Adams on the Ashuwillticook bike path
- 9:30 - Ride from the Berkshire Crossing entrance, a family-friendly 1-mile ride on the Ashuwillticook bike path
