On Wednesday, September 29 from 7-9am, Falmouth will join communities across
the Commonwealth in marking Bay State Bike Month by hosting a bike to work
breakfast event. The rain date is Thursday, September 30, same timing.
Whether you are a regular bicycle commuter or want to use this occasion to try biking to work for the first time, this is a great time to hop on your bike for an
environmentally-sound and fun alternative to a car or bus. Join us on the Shining
Sea Bikeway for breakfast goodies and coffee, hear what's happening in Falmouth
cycling and meet other commuters. Many thanks to local businesses Pie in the Sky
and Jack in the Beanstalk for providing refreshments.
Representatives from the Town of Falmouth Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee and MassBike will host two tables: one at Surf Drive in Quissett and another in the Fitzpatrick Connector (the paved connector between Palmer Ave/Route 28 and the path just south of the Palmer Ave bridge, next to the hand therapy offices across from Goodwill Park and by the Carlson Lane condominiums that back onto the Shining Sea Bikeway.)
