Join the Friends of the Mattapoisett Rail Trail, State Representative Bill Straus, and Mattapoisett Town Officials to celebrate the opening of the Shining Tides Mile of the Mattapoisett Rail Trail. Beginning at 9 a.m. members of the Friends will greet the public and other trail organizations at the Goodspeed Island turnaround. The ceremony will begin promptly at 11 a.m. and people arriving by car can park at the Depot Street Parking Lot or at the YMCA at 35 Reservation Road.
